If you can understand a victim not wanting to forgive their abuser even after years of change you can understand black ppl not wanting to forgive someone who had been racist before even after years of change
"everyone is capable of changing and growing from racism bc everyone is capable of racism and therefore need to put the work into unlearning that" and "you don't owe ex-racists forgiveness or sympathy for doing so" are two things that can and DO co-exist, wtf are y'all on 😭
because racism against black people is so normalized it’s almost a rite of passage. so people feel like they’re owed grace since everyone was doing it, meanwhile black kids were never given grace and grew up hating themselves
It’s less that like “youre racist forever no mayter what” and more like “ur prior racism and the mark it left on people is permanent” tbh. So in a sense no but in another sense kinda yeah😭
It isn't that hard to not say slurs and hate another group for no reason. You're not owed forgiveness from the minority group that you traumatized and have contributed to their oppression. Don't act like the victim here because you're receiving the consequences to your actions.
If you had a "racist phase" respectfully go fuck yourself. It's one thing to have unconscious biases that might stem from how systematic racism is, but straight up viewing another race as sub human, throwing slurs around, and having entire fucking phase revolve around that?
The "fiction doesn't affect reality" argument never made sense to me.
Fiction has inspired people to do some great things & improve themselves as people.
Fiction has changed people's perception of the world.
If fiction doesnt affect reality, the world wouldnt be the same.
// dude, I JUST got back not to long ago, I don’t need this rn. (I blurred the name and pfp for privacy because I do have SOME morals, but left the blue checkmark so you know EXACTLY how degenerate this guy is)
