Guys, after lots of thinking, I decided I just can’t stay here. X is feeding me more and more rubbish — not opinions, from which I could learn and with which one can debate (and then learn), just plain rubbish. Word nerds, you can follow me here, https://t.co/Tk5pjwnXIY. Cheers!
American friends: I know, the Biden administration has been a bit of a disaster on many fronts, and maybe Kamala isn’t the inspirational figure one would want to enforce a real change. But let’s not debate the color of the wall painting when the house is on fire - beat Trump!
Lovely EEG work by the wonderful @JanaHasenacker and Andrea Nadalini. We showed again that we access embedded words (eg, PEA in PEACE) and their meaning very quickly and automatically. What’s the role of affixes on this, that’s a bit less clear.
@giorgioarcara @MarelliMar @fgambarota Thanks @giorgioarcara. Yeah, brms works very smooth, but this would be the last analysis of a long paper and wouldn’t want to turn Bayesian at the last step (though I don’t have a strong philosophical stand here).
Struggling quite a bit on frequentist mixed models for a multinomial Y (unordered). Found the mclogit package, but finding it difficult to understand the model syntax. Any tip? @MarelliMar @fgambarota@giorgioarcara

Just back from always-fun @AIPsperimentale. Amazing how the community is growing, and how many fantastic students gave fantastic talks. Realizing more and more than nurturing a good environment for these wonderful people is the highest service I can give ❤️🔥💪🍾
Thank you to @CalignanoGiulia@CrepaldiDavide@Scandle and @finos18432 for the amazing symposium about multiverse and multi-lab studies at AIP (Experimental Psychology) 2024. Slides 👉 https://t.co/ApkwhxE1Tx
Bad debate nights happen. Trust me, I know. But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself. Between someone who tells the truth; who knows right from wrong and will give it to the American people straight — and someone who lies through his teeth for his own benefit. Last night didn’t change that, and it’s why so much is at stake in November. https://t.co/Tn2TQu5Djo
Now THIS is moral leadership (of the sort we never get from our elected leaders).
Thank you Major Mann. Your grandfather would be proud.
"At some point—whatever the justification—you're either advancing a policy that enables the mass starvation of children, or you're not."
@rgalhama ...was to keep Jon happy, provide him with coffee and a good lab, and let him go. Sometimes, the best we can do for the world is to take the back seat ❤️😎💪
Check this out, word nerds! I'm very proud of this one. From the science point of view, it has it all. We ran two experiments; E2 was pre-registered, to confirm the predictions generated by E1. We also have a formal model, which casted quantitative predictions of E2 based on E1.
New work from the lab, peeps -- https://t.co/N6kd8iT6GX. With the wonderful Jon Carr, we find that readers target words where they expect to minimize uncertainty. Postprint, data and code freely available from Jon's website -- https://t.co/yTIE42V6Vp
...by @rgalhama and Blair Armstrong at the wonderful Stat Learning conference in San Sebastian (new edition soon, btw -- https://t.co/NiJzSnnfHe) and this fantastic piece of work came together. I'm proud to say there's lots of Jon here; my main contribution...
