I am often bemused by the complete shock carers demonstrate, when you point out to them that the frail 90 year old in their care, with a list of medication longer than the War & Peace could actually be dying.

@ariaclast Indeed, as a Paramedic you can find yourself dealing in person, with an individual who sometimes not only lacks the communication skills necessary to safely care for the elderly, but also the cognitive ability to recognise something is greiviously wrong.
