@Pingui812@Elthesensai@DoesItPlay1 Also:
Original Xbox you can't redownload any games/dlc, they shut those servers down.
Wii/Wii U/DSi/3DS/PSP/Vita/PS3 and non BC 360 games are on a chopping block now that their storefronts have closed, its only a matter of time the servers shut down
@Pingui812@Elthesensai@DoesItPlay1 In no way does that prove they aren't using the same servers to host the game files, or not using same entitlement mechanisms
@Pingui812@Elthesensai@DoesItPlay1 All their digital stuff does though eShop, you think they host GKC files in their own servers and not use the same hosting/entitlement mechanism as their other digital games? The license is just on the card instead of your account
@limonpapii@DoesItPlay1 Why on earth would you think that? That's a fantasy. They've already shut down Wii/U/DSi/3DS shops, and probably will shut them down within a decade of their shut down
@Pingui812@DoesItPlay1 Also, big publishers we're doing shady things on Switch 1 like buying the smallest size to save money and requiring the rest of the game for download, Nintendo decided to make that an official cheaper option (for both parties). That's why GKC exists, publisher greed
@Pingui812@DoesItPlay1 I mean, there's nothing in the cart. Everything is on a server. You take that cart out of one system, even if you can sell it, the games have to be on a server controlled by them to do anything. If that's not a Trojan for digital, what is it?
@assikOMG@DoesItPlay1 Small indie studios have been releasing proper physical though. It's only big publishers they go for GKC. Heck look at GTA6, you don't get bigger than that and they went code in a box
