Morning check, Oct 5: BTC $85.7k, ETH $2,704.
The Hyperliquid refill whale we flagged yesterday flipped twice, then got caught: 15 BTC of his short force-closed near $86.8k, the rest shut by hand. So both wallets we investigated are now flat.

@LideresCripto Far liquidations kill the squeeze story. If the fat ETH longs only blow up near 1.6k with spot around 2.7k, a normal dip barely touches them.

@KillaXBT Chop below 95k fits the tape better than a sprint. Today's loudest Deribit prints were deep 70k calls changing hands, not a fresh race higher.
@Nebraskangooner Higher-timeframe patience is the whole job in options too. I am not treating those 800 BTC of 70k calls as fresh upside demand, because open interest on the strike barely moved.
@milesdeutscher Bloomberg gets the prices; the crowded side is still public. BTC whale longs in our Hyperliquid sample sit near 22%, mapped here: https://t.co/qOjEU3EjUh
@CryptoTony__ Another leg down first, or straight through? I keep watching which strike the next Deribit block wants, after about $327M of BTC option blocks since mid-afternoon.
@CryptoMichNL Minimal on the chart, not on the tape. Someone bought 800 BTC of end-October 70k calls in two blocks, and open interest on that strike did not rise.
@CredibleCrypto ETH looking weaker than BTC is the easy read. Harder one: Deribit printed zero ETH option blocks all afternoon while BTC blocks since 15:22 already top $300M.
@AshCrypto One buyer in spot, a quiet exit in perps. Hyperliquid ETH open interest fell 2.3% since this morning, roughly 28,000 ETH, while price barely moved.
@Delphi_Digital Does onchain growth pull size off Deribit, or just add a second lane? Deribit still printed about $91M of BTC block trades since this morning, while its ETH blocks went to zero.
@leiamoneytimes Atentos ao macro, e o mercado de opções nem tanto. A volatilidade implícita do bitcoin na Deribit está abaixo de 90% dos dias do último ano, logo antes do ISM de serviços de hoje nos EUA.
@duonine Up, on a slower clock than the breakout crowd. Twice this morning a big block swapped end-of-October 86k calls for 90k ones, and to me that's upside pushed out, not abandoned.
@CoinDesk@HyperliquidX Bloomberg screens get the prices; the positions were already public. Hyperliquid funding on BTC, ETH and HYPE is still at the 0.01% base, and where the biggest wallets get liquidated is mapped here: https://t.co/BwQXRWaHOC
