And honking is traffic problem. I understood that when in LA and NYC. Ofc compare to India no one honk there much but I see people breaking rule when traffic jam happens there as well. I have seen few breaking lanes and over taking using reserved lanes when they couldn’t move for hours and so losing patience.
So yes it is traffic problem but eventually became mindset problem because for years we are in same problem on daily basis
Better roads so that jams can be avoided
Better Pedestrian walks so people don’t walk on roads
Better public transports - mainly short distance with cheap monthly or yearly pass
I think with that we may not need to even honk.
Ofc honking became habit now which will take some time to get over but unless we tackle main problem that is not possible
@AskAnshul Police should arrest that father who keeps traveling in Vande Bharat with his kid just to annoy people.
My personal experience of Vande Bharat was great. I hope people maintain it. Luckily I did not meet that kid
@thatanyagirl Racism will always be there everywhere.
Even if I earn good and plan to move to my native place tomorrow, people there will say why are you coming here, go to city where you used to work and live.
@harsh567_8 As long as he is happy, doesn’t care how much others are earning, 18 LPA is good enough for now and main thing if he is learning new things in his job then he can stay there. Otherwise switching is better option.
@AnjaliK90891497 Why this 5-8 year old kid and his father keeps traveling in Vande bharat express every day? And with same energy this kid keeps kicking every day? I am hearing this story 4th time or may be more
It would have been better to mention that organization limits it to 7-8 lakh for 4 year exp and that is what you can offer, rather than saying he is asking x% of current CTC.
Decision should not be based on his current CTC. It should be based on his skills, and what your company sets the bar.
If candidate skills and market standards falls around 16 lakh then I don’t see any problem someone asking for it.
Problem is why company always decide CTC based on candidate’s current CTC.
Here is my experience -
I started my career with startup of 3-4 employees. My first CTC was 60k INR. I wanted to get into development so I accepted it.
But eventually my salary always stayed low for next 3 years. Lower than what usually freshers get in the same company.
So I started asking for 100% hike in interviews just to match up with industry standards.
One HR clearly told me that it is not possible to get 100% hike, they can do max 20% on current CTC.
I asked clear question and HR also replied honestly-
Q - Am I asking more than what we get in industry for my level of experience?
A - No. This is standard CTC you are asking but we can’t offer more than 20% of current CTC
Q - So only option I get is to keep switching company every 6 months to get to that level. Is it ok?
A - It is your wish. I am fine it. We can give you offer if you want.
So finally I declined. Fortunately found good company where they offered me what I was asking.
This was 2007-2008 and nothing changed it seems.
@nirajxdev After similar experiences it became my mantra
No money lending and no business with friends and relatives. The risk is very high that we lose those relations
I am very concerned about something. This is not a political view or a comparison to other countries.
For the last few months, I have been spending most of my time in hospitals because someone close to me is unwell. What I observe is that every hospital is always fully packed, with the majority of people suffering from cancer or diabetes. I am worried for India's future generations.
Just near the hospital, there are 2-3 food stalls always packed, mostly by relatives of patients.
Every single thing we cook at home or eat out cannot be guaranteed to be good for health. Be it paneer, salt, or fruits, there is no guarantee that even if I spend a good amount of money, I am eating good food. And this does not stop at food: water is not good even in plastic bottles, and air is another big problem.
I wonder if it is intentional or simply due to the pursuit of personal profits, with everything combining into a bigger problem.
But with these issues, we will lose everything one day.
