new algo makes me wonder the biz logic behind the change. i’ve long believed that the prev algo was there because slop preys on human tendencies for rage.
more rage = more screen time = more ad dollars
is it possible we laissez-faired our way into a healthy algo?
a chat box makes the user do the work. they have to guess what to type, how to phrase it, what the app can even do. good design does that thinking for them: buttons, defaults, a clear path. ai should run in the background as a new capability, not sit up front as a crutch because you couldn't figure out the product.
