@jacksonhinkle Russia’s 90%+ home‑ownership rate is wildly misleading. After 1991, the state simply handed over its Soviet‑era apartments to tenants for free. Since most of today’s housing stock was built by the USSR, around 70–80% of ‘owned’ homes come from that old state system. No success.
