@PrinceVogel The ISS's total cost is apparently $150B (Wikipedia) and it's only a few people and not self sustaining at all. Probably at least 10x, maybe 100x for self sustaining, and 30x for 30x as many people. So ballpark $100T, about the same as global gdp. Space is *hard*

From this follows a bit of advice I give people regarding rescinding acceptance of job offers:

When I was young I thought that that was dishonorable and unprofessional. Honor is a two way street. Don’t be the only side of a deal that feels bound by it.

@sonyasupposedly But also on the off chance you don't already know: be careful about rollover IRAs (as opposed to rolling onto another 401k). Apparently it can cause you to permanently(?) lose the benefits of backdoor Roth IRAs if you ever want to use one.
