Hey everyone,
Today is a huge day for me.
To be honest, I'm writing this in the middle of the nightāI should be sleeping right now, considering how little sleep Iāve gotten over the past two months. But something happened a few hours ago that's keeping me awake.
I just received the LocalNads role on the Monad server.
So, to anyone ready to read, let me share my story.
I joined the Monad server in early 2024. Actually, I'd heard about Monad quite some time before that, but never really entered the server nor explored the community side of the project. To be completely honest, Iāve been in the crypto sphere for almost a decade, but up until January 2024 (just a month before entering the Monad server), I was doing everything by myselfāa lone wolf, you might say. I was reading whitepapers, dissecting protocols, and navigating the crypto world alone.
Then, I met some incredible friends who showed me how exciting and rewarding it was to learn and understand this ecosystem together. I attended my first crypto events and experienced the thrill of discussing crypto with real people in person for the first timeātruly amazing. These interactions taught me the power and passion within the crypto community.
Last summer, I decided to join a Frenchnad event on Twitter about Monad, the technology, and the community. That's how I earned the Full Access role and discovered this vibrant, welcoming community.
In September, alongside Tote, I co-organized my first Frenchnads IRL event in Lyon. We played poker in a bar, where I met wonderful people like Gleader, Mimie, Zeydd, and many others. It felt surreal giving faces to usernames, discovering their personal lives, and realizing that weāre so much more than just usernamesāweāre a genuine community.
From there, I became deeply obsessed with Monadās tech. I devoured everything available, striving to understand every mechanism and began writing detailed threads about it on Twitter. (This was my first time creating contentāIād always been just a consumer. Now, reaching about 800 followers seems incredible and surreal. I could never have imagined that.)
Next, I explored various sub-communities within Monad. I joined the IronNads community, participating in a push-up contest alongside my friends Nifty and Bachibouzouk. I finished second, though to be fair, due to camera latency, about 15 push-ups weren't counted! (If we ever redo it, Iām more than ready!) I also became part of the MonShape community, actively engaged with the broader international community, and even co-hosted Papayou's event.
In January, I organized another IRL Frenchnads event in Auxerre, where an incredible number of Frenchnads gathered for an unforgettable weekend of discussion, fun, and creating lasting memories. Honestly, it was amazing.
In February, I started hosting crypto and DeFi educational sessions on Lambline, aiming to make crypto accessible to everyone. It was my first time speaking extensively in a foreign language about topics I had studied alone for nearly a decade. I was genuinely nervous yet proud of myself, always encouraged by Mike and supported by many in the community, answering questions, clearing doubts, and feeling truly fulfilled. (By the way, my next event will take place at 6PM UTC on Lambline next Friday (23/05), where weāll dive into blockchain layers. š)
In April, I joined the Bandit NFT Collection as Community Lead and Developer alongside Docteur (Founder, Designer, and Community Manager) and LBTC (Collab Manager). Honestly, this is currently what Iām proudest of. Within about a month, I've dedicated nearly three to four hundred hours to the project, building an entire Discord from scratch, developing a bot for managing whitelists, wallets, message monitoring, user interactions, and much more. Iāve also been hard at work on the projectās website (coming very soon!) and smart contracts for the first NFT collection. I've envisioned an ambitious roadmap that spans at least four months, with exciting monthly updates. (Definitely donāt fade this oneāmint is coming soon.)
This latest project represents a huge personal milestone. As a computer science student, Iāve always dreamt of creating something meaningful, and now here I am, developing skills in a field I love, creating content, and bringing value to the ecosystem. Iām truly amazed at how far Iāve come, but even more excited that this is just the beginning.
Banditās mint will arrive shortly, followed closely by my exams, which Iāll need to fully focus on. Afterward, Iām heading to Greece to meet even more Nads before returning home and diving 200% into Bandit's development for two whole months. I genuinely want to create something valuable that people will love using. (Iām also thrilled to share that Iāve been in a wonderful relationship for over two months now, and my girlfriendāalso a computer science studentāwill happily be joining me in building this exciting project, which fills me with immense joy.)
Thanks so much for reading this personal reflection. This journey is precisely what makes our community specialāit genuinely touches our lives, and I couldnāt be more grateful.
Thank you to every friend I've made along the way. I wonāt list names here because youāre too many, and Iād be mortified if I forgot someone. But know that each of you who recognizes yourself has brought meaningful moments to my journey. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
One of my best years so far!š

This deserves the community's full attention before any major decisions.

@0xfarmor We the "Monad ambassador", or Nads if you prefer, made a table about each role earnings, totalling a whopping 1.94% airdrop, considering the maximum allocation of each role. . .
I'M BACK
> main X acc has been banned because I did an anti-FUD @monad video to calm people minds & it was used in reply too much apparently (?)
anyways if you can help me, appreciate it a lot! š
nads follow nads
Iāve been around Monad for a long time, and what just happened is honestly disappointing. The whole ācommunity firstā narrative turned out to be just marketing. You canāt spend two years saying ācommunity is everythingā and then give less than 2% to the people who actually built it. Thatās not ācommunity first,ā thatās hypocrisy.
The distribution was unfair and opaque. They rewarded the top 500 to create an illusion of fairness, hiding behind the idea that āeveryone got what they deserved.ā They kept repeating āno shortcuts,ā but the truth is, some clearly had shortcuts, and that completely breaks the message theyāve been pushing.
The multipliers between top roles above Nads are fine, but once you reach Nads and below (like FAs), it becomes absurd. Thereās roughly a x6 gap between a good Nad and an OG, which makes absolutely no sense.
And whatās even more ironic is how obsessed they are with mindshare, constantly talking about it like itās the ultimate goal. Respect and trust arenāt built through attention or engagement, theyāre built through fairness and alignment between words and actions.
Then they have the audacity to tell the community to ātake a bigger role in the crypto ecosystem,ā when in reality that same community has a ridiculously small role in the projectās tokenomics.
They said they wanted to expand Monadās reach by rewarding power users from the broader crypto ecosystem, traders, DeFi investors, or active users from other platforms. On paper, fine. But in practice, it led to people like CBB, who never once mentioned Monad, getting the same allocation as me, someone whoās been here for over a year and a half actively supporting and engaging with the project. Thatās not āgrowth,ā thatās disrespect.
You canāt talk about building loyalty and then treat your most dedicated members like they donāt matter. Respect the ones who have been here since day one before trying to please outsiders. Because at this point, it just makes you look like clowns.
Even Eclipse, the one they mocked, gave a larger share to their core contributors. And Hyperliquid, for example, truly lived up to the words ācommunity first.ā
At this point, itās not even about the tokens, itās about respect, consistency, and values. You canāt preach ācommunity is everythingā and then treat your community like itās worth 2%.
