Disabled and chronically ill people have had to do the work of emotionally supporting non-disabled people during #covid19.

You can be sexually empowered and asexual. You can be sex-positive and asexual. You can be confident and embrace your sexuality while being asexual. It's an honour to spread this message as an ambassador for @Lovehoney! 💜

When ppl say "demisexuality isn't real since most ppl only feel sexual attraction when they have an emotional bond with someone" (if they get that definition right), do they ever consider that maybe a lot of people are demisexual and asexuals are not merely 1% of the population?
@CuilPress @neal_michon Austistic aro aces are an important part of the community and it’s a huge disservice that people want to rip identities apart instead of loving the whole person
Our founder, @neal_michon , is proudly an autistic aromantic asexual, among other things. None of that threatens hir in the least, though other folks' ignorance does. #thisiswhatasexuallookslike
Asexuality is not a threat to autism
Autism is not a threat to asexuality
Boggles my mind the lengths that people go in attempts to put them agaisnt each other.
It only works with ableists or acephobes but still... ffs
To whom it may concern,
I am aroace but I am also wlw. Because attraction is not limited to sexual and romantic attraction. Alterous, queerplatonic, aesthetic, sensual; these are all forms of attraction. Oriented aroaces exist and we navigate relationships in our own way.
Hey, fuck that aphobic bullshit. Aromantic or asexual, or both, or somewhere on the spectrum, you're valid. You've become so much more comfortable in your skin. You don't have to pretend to be someone you're not. Not here. You've learned so much about sexuality.
629 BC - Sappho poem reads: Eros goes no where near Artemis
1896 - Sexologist writes about people without sexual attraction
1948 - Kinsey includes “group x” on sexuality scale
1960s - Bambi, stone, & political lesbians make a cross section of ace & lesbian behavior/activism
aphobes: aces/aros are not oppressed
aces/aros: *explains our oppression and how we're oppressed*
aphobes: *ignores and erases our oppression, while going around and harrassing us*
One of the best things we can do for ourselves and each other is to acknowledge that we aren’t done learning now, and to acknowledge that we will always be learning, and to be honest about the fact that learning often includes failing.
