@Xbox_Series_XS That's a cool feature. Xbox does similar stuff regarding HDR, frame rate and resolution. It's really great to give old gen games a second life with modern features :)
@Solidusstu@smMmHh_@newame1235@astaranx It's more akin to using their market position to leverage studio compliance. For example during the FTC trial we learned that Sony's contract for RE village required performance and feature parity. This contractually leads to the Xbox series X optimisation being throttled.
@Zuby_Tech I truly hope they can create something as iconic as their legacy five Halo iterations. Getting an iconic shooter franchise on the PlayStation would be great.
@smMmHh_@newame1235@Solidusstu@astaranx Many articles about it, this was the first one that popped up on a google search

The previous two games being deathloop and ghost wire both had exclusivity arrangements.
@Solidusstu@newame1235@smMmHh_@astaranx Because purchasing ownership is more ethical than making a payment to specifically disadvantage another group while avoiding financial responsibility for the success or failure of the product and studio.
One is an ethical transaction, the other is a bribe.
@Volsunga1985@Sammie_cutest@smMmHh_@astaranx Again, PlayStation is on record trying to moneyhat exclusivity for Starfield, as they did for ghostwire. Redfalls sucked but is doing better than concord.
@Sammie_cutest@smMmHh_@astaranx Morrowind was ported for the original Xbox due to the architecture of the original Xbox being super easy for PC developers to create console ports, no exclusive agreement. The Xbox 360 launched before PS3, and the PS3 development problems due to the hardware, not exclusivity.
