Her: Are those flowers real?
Me: We'll never know for sure, but for what it's worth I see them too.
[Note: the opposite of "real" is "imaginary", not "plastic".]
@ItsBigLasagna@MossiestToes@raifdih93@AtheistPhoenix The decisions other people make affect me. If they decide to fix problems with magic based on their bullshit religious beliefs, I can be adversely affected. Don't tell me I have no skin in the game. I do.
@WerwulfFan Baal made quite the journey also. It's amazing what you can achieve over many generations of storytellers when relieved of the burden of existing. One might say the same about Yahweh
@theerealtao@_Ochiedike I think theism offers something at the psychological level which many people find irresistible. My evidence is the ubiquity of religion across societies and generations. Thus atheism might not be "normal." Rational, certainly
@Dom1968Juan If you could only see what these arguments look like from the perspective of an atheist. Leprechauns are real! No! Only unicorns are real! Where is your evidence? Where is yours? So ridiculous
@Science_TechTV Absence of evidence is not PROOF of absence, but it IS evidence in the Baysian sense. Lack of evidence is the primarily basis of my atheism.
