I think I answered my own question.
Godaddy 'parks' it - 2018. They're ns/soa until 2020 when domain registration happens, ns & soa switch to wix on the same day domain registration happens.

Weird after all these years - first time I encountered this situation

How is it that I have DNS 'A' records that pre-date a domain being registered?

Maybe its common? I've not encountered it before. Unable to share the domain.

Can a hosting company/ registrar 'reserve' this domain w/o it showing on in registrant records until sold?

doc has me on sick leave to wait for surgery - in #Ontario where my #neurosurgeon is mad b/c I got a 2nd opinion. Might be a while.

At the lake for the weekend to relax w/o any of my laptops, etc with - to see if I can do it.

I'm in pretty severe pain due to the injury & my mobility is worsening. Currently flat on my back because I washed dishes. Good excuse at least 🤣

I do one very small walk a day (two if I'm feeling lucky). No fun!
