🌍 Advocacy week continues with dialogues on the future of the #HIV response. Y+ Global met with Permanent Missions of Mexico & Lebanon to the @UN to discuss how member states can work together to strengthen community & young people's meaningful engagement in the PD on HIV/AIDS.
Aarushi Gupta: Public participation should not begin only when challenges are identified or concerns are raised. Meaningful inclusion must be embedded from the very beginning — from the conceptualisation of digital technologies and applications, through their development, testing, implementation, and ongoing feedback processes.
Equally important, participation frameworks must be intentionally inclusive, ensuring that diverse voices are brought into the conversation rather than excluded or segmented. True innovation is only possible when communities are engaged as partners throughout the entire process.

🙏 As the third @FondationBotnar grant to the Digital Health and Rights Project comes to a close, we return to where it all began: Geneva, where the Digital Rights Advisory Group (DRAG), later DHRP, was first imagined just before the Covid-19 pandemic.
Surrounded by global health and human rights institutions, our closing Future of Human Rights in the Digital Age meeting created space for reflection, exchange, renewed connection, and critical conversations with consortium partners and longtime supporters.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey toward advancing digital health and rights for young people worldwide.
For now, gears shift to the 79th World Health Assembly.

Day 2 of the Digital Health and Rights Project convening in Geneva:
🧲From a powerful mural session inspired by Colombian coffee brewing ☕️ led by @Uniandes, to bold conversations on AI, digital health, and human rights, today was all about reflection, tension, possibility, and collective vision.
Researchers, advocates, young people, and communities from around the world in one room asking the big question:
👉Who should digital health really serve?
The energy is unmatched, and we are just getting started.
Stay tuned.

The @GCAT_dhrp is calling for stronger privacy protections for people seeking health information online especially people living with HIV.
As digital health platforms expand, safeguarding sensitive data and protecting users from stigma, abuse and discrimination must remain a priority.

No community should be too far or too hard to reach.

Community action is how we close the gap. #THRIVE
When young people are meaningfully engaged, they become powerful advocates not just for themselves but for the health of their peers and communities. This is the role of #VibrantYoungVoices in HIV responses.👉🏼 https://t.co/PxjXHzUQ8l @teampata@RobertCarrFund@childrenandHIV
❌Fear can be louder than stigma‼️
For many people living with HIV, the fear of cyberattacks or personal data leaks is enough to keep them silent; avoiding online spaces where they could otherwise find support, information, and community.
This “silence effect” is real. And it’s dangerous.
In Vietnam, where HIV-related stigma still persists despite ongoing efforts to reduce discrimination, a powerful response is emerging. Community-led initiatives are stepping up to create safer, trusted pathways for support, reaching those who feel they have nowhere to turn.
💡 Discover how Vietnam’s Community Advisory Team to the digital health and rights project is breaking barriers, rebuilding trust, and ensuring no one is left behind.
