As my time as @DSLawSociety President comes to an end, I reflect on the #honour it’s been to be #President, thank you all for the support I have had. I hand over the President’s medal to Adrian Richards and I wish him all the best for the 2022/23 term.
Thanks to all who made the Legal Service @ExeterCathedral possible last week and to @ExeterCouncil for providing the photo. It was fantastic to have attended this event @DSLawSociety
Our Autumn programme of training with live events being planned is now live on our website. Excited to see some of our regular speakers back in the South West with @StJohnsChambers giving their annual Update for Contentious Probate - https://t.co/zh0ayupKvz
It's good to hear that @sra_solicitors have dropped the proposed Compensation Fund cuts. This is good news for the profession as we have great pride in our high levels of consumer protection.
A controversial plan to cut maximum payouts from the Compensation Fund has been quietly dropped by the regulator. @michaelcross

I am excited to introduce myself, @PaulKellyTozers, as the new @DSLawSociety president. I am currently managing partner and head of the Parks team at @TozersLaw, and after being @DSLawSociety vice-president I am looking forward to the opportunities the role of president brings.
@CliveThomas01 Thanks Clive. Hope all is well with you. Was it today you were at 113 Chancery Lane? Will@you be at ASWLS AGM in July? Best wishes, Stephen
My year as President comes to an end today, so this is my last tweet. At DASLS AGM this evening I hand over the President’s medal and this Twitter account to Nigel Lyons. Good luck to him for his year in office and thanks to all at DASLS who have supported me throughout my term.
Ok, one more tweet. Pictured with newly elected President Nigel Lyons (left) and new DVP Adrian Richards just after AGM this evening. I’m wearing the smile of a relaxed Immediate Past President. Good luck to Nigel, Adrian and VP Paul Kelly.
In the last few days of my presidency, disappointed not to be able to represent DASLS at Leicestershire Law Society annual dinner held last night. Hope everyone there had a great time.
Rebecca Parkman and I have just completed best part of 9 mile walk with Sue Aggett from Minehead to Porlock Weir. Sue is raising funds for Air Ambulance Services covering Devon & Somerset walking one third of South West Coast Path. See her Facebook page for link to sponsor her.
@chrislintonwm Hi Chris, having looked at your photo, I see why you were not 100per cent sure if it was me speaking. You had what can only be described as a restricted view. The pulpit didn’t look like it would move easily.
I expect there were plenty of blurry heads in offices today for those who partied hard (yet responsibly) at The Terrace into the early hours. Good to see so many there. As I spent last evening on water, it’s time for a glass or two of Pinot Noir kindly sponsored by Money Penny.
Ok. Here we go. Sound check done. Cathedral is looking magnificent. Just over two hours to go till the start of the drinks reception. I hope everyone attending has a great night.
Maintaining the cricketing theme for one more tweet, a swift four more supporters moves the President on to 53, a ripple of polite applause from the stands and a nod of appreciation from DASLS itself to those who have most recently started following this account.
Since opening in June, @DASLSPresident has, with Boycott like application & concentration, prodded & probed its way to 49 (followers) not out. Hope to sneak at least a single more so to raise an acknowledging bat before retiring to Past Presidents’ pavilion at the end of April.
