@itsdannypereira Managed to drag the workmanship and standards of the entire industry down to a bargain basement level...Cheaper but not better...Worst machine tool I ever owned,amount of tool deflection/bounce was unbelievable...Told it would cut H900 17-4 as good as 20yo box way machine ,not...
@CoxonMark 30k sounds high...usually about 10k for rebuild plus remove install labor...Looks like older machine would look for used one from running machine being parted out on ebay...
Is it a kitamura...
@JasonPremoMFG Yeah,let's see how much they want to after they have to become AS9100 certified and pay for the people/ equipment necessary to do the overhead burden of AS9100..
Then they can do CMMC level 2 or 3 and pay for that IT/cybersecurity overhead burden..
@mattdykema CMMC is a great reason to keep machines airgapped...pricing is based on how many devices are on your network...Second good reason to use USB is hardwired network is susceptible to power surges and lighting strikes even when precautions are taken...
@mattdykema Both,
If drawing doesn't meet print QC and operator are to blame.
However that being said management is ultimately responsible for not having a system in place to insure part is being made to print...
Process controls,proper employee training and people owning their work..
@dom_lucre No we won't,because politicians need division to make themselves appear to be relevant to whichever side they are choosing to fleece money and support from...
@SenRickScott We need to pay attention to the Bahamas and the PRC influence happening there.
We will gave PRC base in our backyard..

@mattdykema 8000 hrs is just a warm up,been doing it 40+ years...technology,design & tolerance keep changing at an ever increasing rate..Tolerance we hold today was out of reach 20 years ago..Never really master it just learn every day and keep improving..
@SizeEighteen The industry suffers from of mid level job justification bs. The mentality is that thru AS9100 or ISO you can with enough processes and quality overseers you can achieve perfection,when in reality some people lack the ability to absorb the training or follow work instructions
@SutterlinDan@Xaraphim Like your reply..most of these younger gen don't understand the complexity of running a job shop...They cannot understand how it was to watch the commercial work dry up and leave the country for a few dollars and you had to add Quality overhead to upgrade to do Aero and DOD work.
