Right now the pride of America's Merchant Marine is at risk of being sunk by an American county wanting to turn it into a dive spot.

This vessel, built in part by the US Government to double as a troop ship, she is one of the last great civilian vessels this Nation built, and one of the last reminders of our great civilian maritime industry.

If we are going to rebuild this nation's shipbuilding capabilities, it would be a terrible sign to destroy one of the last great ships we built!
