@SteveOnSpeed My work travel has picked up recently, I was debating getting a credit card that gives you airport lounge access. Do you recommend one? I have an 850 score and in good shape financially. I’ve always had one basic Chase Southwest Visa card, nothing fancy.
@KingFazir I’ll think of this tweet and whisper a silent prayer of gratitude as I pay my $900 health insurance premium later this month. Free chips and salsa makes it all sooooo much better…
@Markmanson I’m in sales, I’ve been ranked #1 nationally at four consecutive companies. Lots of guys on this platform selling all kinds of crazy sales techniques, I just make sure every morning at 9am I make 5 cold calls, that’s it. 25 a week, 100 a month, 1200 a year. Boring but effective.
@historyinmemes One of “Spinal Tap’s” most underrated throw away lines:
“The Boston gig has been cancelled.”
“What?”
“Yeah. I wouldn’t worry about it, though. It’s not a big college town.”
@WellBuiltStyle Sort of related question: Have you done any research on peptides? I asked because I’m 55 and my joints are starting to feel it, I am still in the cursory stages of research right now.
@Musclemanhh Women are naturally going to be more reserved giving a man compliments, even at the gym. When a dude gives a compliment at the gym to another dude he doesn’t have to worry about that guy hitting on him for months on end afterwards. That, and gym bros tend to be pretty positive.
@Musclemanhh 55yrs old, these are 125’s. Still mountain biking, started jujitsu a year ago. I’ve pretty much stopped doing any leg days except calves and hip thrusts, my knees can’t take it, instead I bike & walk my dog 2m everyday. I’m doing what I can.
@WellBuiltStyle This is me. Zero inheritance. Salesmen for 30 years. Invested 15% every year straight to the S&P. I’m 55, raised three boys on one income. Pacing for $3m in IRA’s at 60 with a paid off house and zero debt. My fiance is a 20yr veteran of the FDA in a similar financial situation.
@frases_Goku02 My son and I had a small beef with the scene… We really think that Athena should’ve said “you will always be… The god of war.“ and then he just wordlessly walks through her to go kick some ass. Maybe we’re wrong?
@Stephen19718352 Agree. I backpacked Europe for 6 months when I was 25- that was a great way to see the culture. These days I use work trips to add on cool vacays- just this year I’ve done NYC twice, Joshua Tree, Vieques, soon the Finger Lakes. I plan on backpacking Europe again in retirement.
@girdley Five guys is still my favorite burger in the world. You can actually ask for a triple patty burger, which is not on the menu. I allow myself to go there once every three months, more than that and I will never retire.
@Jon_Finkel 100%. I have a 30 minute hill sprint workout up the street, 45 min mountain bike loops, kettlebells and push-up handles in the backyard. Sometimes you have to improvise. Now that my last son has moved out, I can’t tell you how much easier it is to get in shape these days.
@KurtSupeCPA I’m pacing for $3M in IRA’s and a paid-off house by 57; I’m 55 now. My wife works for the FDA and is on track for a $1.5M TSP plus an $80k annual pension at 57 (for now). At this point, I’m leaning toward taking everything as early as possible — we could both be gone by 65.
@MurrayHillGuy1 Unfollow. There’s a Twitter post floating around right now about how when two people have a 20pt delta between their respective IQs the conversation breaks down… Your posts have just gotten too stupid lately.
@mikefreemanNFL This conversation reminds me of that tweet going around about how when two people talking have a 20-point IQ gap, the conversation eventually breaks down.
@MurrayHillGuy1 So tired of the “mid” term. Ruined your whole post. Any guy with taste would choose her over the silicone implant scene any day, he’s a lucky guy.
@KJP Three books that influenced me as both a father and a leader:
LOTR- Aragorn's steady unflinching leadership.
Watership Down - The way Hazel an undersized rabbit becomes a leader is amazing.
The Once & Future King - Force should only be used to prevent injustice, not create it.
