📚Die Rolle der Diplomatie in Zeiten des Umbruchs

Ein hochinteressanter Abend bei der @dgapev zur Buchvorstellung und Diskussion von „Der schmale Grat: Die Kunst der Diplomatie in Zeiten des Umbruchs“ von @NikelRolf – mit den außenpolitischen Sprechern von @cducsubt, @spdbt und @GrueneBundestag, moderiert von unserer Geschäftsführerin @IreneHahnFuhr.

Gemeinsam diskutierten Rolf Nikel, Adis Ahmetovic, Deborah Düring und @juergenhardt über die geopolitischen Herausforderungen Europas: den russischen Angriffskrieg gegen die Ukraine, hybride Bedrohungen, die künftige Rolle der USA sowie die zunehmende Konkurrenz mit China.

Im Mittelpunkt standen dabei Fragen danach, welche Lehren deutsche Diplomatie aus den Erfolgen und Fehlschlägen der Vergangenheit ziehen muss, wie Deutschland künftig strategischer und handlungsfähiger agieren kann und wo heute der schwierige „schmale Grat“ diplomatischen Handelns verläuft — zwischen Abschreckung und Eskalationsvermeidung, europäischer Selbstbehauptung und Kooperation in einer zunehmend multipolaren Welt.

Der Abend machte deutlich, wie wichtig eine strategisch denkende und zugleich wertegeleitete Diplomatie für Europas Zukunft ist.
