@ian_dot_so I work at a startup with ~40 engineers and it seems split 75-25 in favor of anthropic right now but some people swear by Codex. We turn every CLAUDE.md into an AGENTS.md to making switch seamless

and it's only the beginning of how important it will be

1. AI takes all the jobs
2. AI kills everyone
3. Everyone should be token maxing all the time or risk unemployment
These are all such extreme takes while also not that serious. Other countries seem to have a more balanced view and policy

@cptdankkk Meta is kinda on the same path too. But I think there's a serious opportunity for them to create an American Deep Seek - an open source, near-frontier-level intelligence model that is smaller, faster, cheaper and can be post-trained
