This year, I laid out my goal to cut the cancer death rate by at least 50 percent over the next 25 years.
We’re going to better support patients and families. And we’re going to update our fight against cancer.
🚀We applaud @POTUS leadership in relaunching the Cancer Moonshot and are looking forward to working with @rwegrzyn, inaugural director of ARPA-H to improve health outcomes for all individuals with #cancer. #ASCOAdvocacy https://t.co/rQKWUFuRwR
Some people have completely asymptomatic COVID infections, likely due to a genetic mutation that clears the virus rapidly, UCSF scientists say: "You basically nuke the infection before you even start to have symptoms," Jill Hollenbach tells @NPR. https://t.co/jPgBkTHP4E
We are looking forward to hosting our first of two Virtual Residency Fairs today at 4 pm. Come and meet some of the faculty and residents @HarvardMedPhys!

Honored to attend @POTUS's #CancerMoonshot address today. We’re generating so much information about this disease and have seen significant advancements, but we need to learn more from patients, share knowledge, and forge deeper collaborations to end suffering from cancer.
A historic day in our fight against #cancer as we strive "To turn more cancers from death sentences into chronic diseases people can live with, to create more supportive experiences for patients and families."

July is Multiple Myeloma Awareness Month. A relatively rare cancer that affects plasma cells with the lifetime risk of diagnosis 1 in 132, according to the American Cancer Society. For reasons unknown, it's TWICE as common for black persons than white.
