Pearls of the Blessed Ramadan (9)!
The ninth day of the tafseer of this month of Ramadan (1447H/2026G) took place at Annoor Masjeed, Wuse 2, Abuja, and covered Chapter 3, the concluding part of Verses 198, 199, and 200 of the Glorious Qur'an.
Allah says in the three verses:
"But, for those who fear their Lord, are Gardens under which rivers flow (in Paradise); therein are they to dwell (for ever), an entertainment from Allah; and that which is with Allah is the Best for Al-Abrar (those who are obedient to Allah and follow strictly His Orders)."
"And there are, certainly, among the people of the Scripture, those who believe in Allah and in that which has been revealed to you, and in that which has been revealed to them, humbling themselves before Allah. They do not sell the Verses of Allah for a little price, for them is a reward with their Lord. Surely, Allah is Swift in account."
"O you who believe! Endure and be more patient (than your enemy), and guard your territory by stationing army units permanently at the places from where the enemy can attack you, and fear Allah, so that you may be successful." (Verses 198, 199, and 200).
The major lessons are:
1) The garden of paradise is for those who keep their duty to Allah. They will remain therein forever.
2) Allah commends some of the people of the Scripture for speaking the truth and aligning with justice. This shows to us that Islam is a religion of justice and fairness.
3) The Qur'an also stated that among the people of the Scripture, there are some who shed tears when the Qur'an is being recited. This is because they believe in it as a divine message.
4) Allah commands believers to be patient in their obedience to Him. As those who are patient, they will get their reward without measurement.
5) Islam encourages you to forgive anyone who wrongs you, but only if he can repent and refrain from harming others. If he can't repent, then forgiveness is not encouraged.
6) We are to prioritise the Next world over this, as this world is temporal while the hereafter is permanent.
7) Success is undoubtedly for those who are pious, patient, and steadfast on the right path.
May Allah admit us among the successful ones in this world and in the Hereafter.
