The thing about JJ McCarthy is that I'm not even saying he is some superstar or anything. He's just not that bad! People need to relax a little.

At 22 years old, through 10 starts ever, he looks like he's going to be a pretty solid starting quarterback. There were rough patches, butbhe out together some real good ball at the end of the season.

The memes have gotten so out of control though. People think he has to be the worst player of all time.

Both of his starting WRs had uncharacteristically down seasons. His run game sucked. He couldn't stay healthy. He had mechanical issues and took a while to adjust to the speed of the game.

Is it great? No. Is it cause to become insane, blame your young QB for all the awful drops, & blow up the plan to bring him along? Hell no.
