Within the next few hours I shall open, spreading my pungency far and wide to attract pollinators! Well... mostly horticulturists and botanists if I'm honest but those are acceptable substitutes.

This species is easily recognised but the reniform anther crest (red in the photo) and also occurs in the Philippines.
A month's worth of rain (48mm) has been recorded at Edinburgh Botanic Gardens, in the 36 hours since 7am on Wednesday.
