#Swedish expression of the day: "Bli varm i kläderna" (lit. "get warm in the clothes") does not refer to putting on more layers for the winter, but to get more accustomed to things. Compare with English expression "begin to find one’s feet".

It's been a big week of beach cleaning for the SCCU crew on Fidra island. We have removed an estimated 150 creels & huge bundles of rope that washed up during winter storms last year. Thanks to @RSPBScotland & @SeabirdCentre for their support and to all our amazing volunteers!

Something lovely for the weekend!
Beautiful blue glass beads from the late Bronze Age.
Ploughed up by a farmer in Denmark in 1885, analysis shows the beads were made in Mesopotamia, evidence of long-distance trade in luxury goods some 3,000 years ago.

She has now doubled in size in the past two weeks and is doing so well under the watchful eye of her mum, Gloria 💛

It’s so satisfying when a printing session works, (it often doesn’t 😊), when the background comes out right and the tree plate prints well, without bits of ink in the wrong places, and the ink behaves and doesn’t smother the white marks I’ve carved. https://t.co/ag8RYXPHLO
