@AudreyDahlgren It's likely that MSU had to do this now because Tucker notified them of his intent to go on medical leave. His salary is in the top 10% of MSU employees, making him a "key employee" as defined by FMLA. A little light reading if you're interested:

idk who needs to hear this but relax, you have a good heart and pure intentions. things will always end up working out in your favor, even if it doesn't seem like it right away bc you're too invested in keeping and holding on to things/people, but it will work out. patience.
"if they died instantly what were those banging sounds" stop asking questions about the ocean. dont fuck with the sea. don't go there. i'll tell you what that noise was, none of our damn business that's what that noise was
@murbanvideo "Ovals are boring."
Ovals racing is incredibly exciting and engaging if you pay attention to the right things, and if you think it's boring you just don't know what to watch for.
@DanImmergluck @constans What subsidies are you referring to? LIHTC and HOME don't apply to units targeted over 60% AMI unless they use income averaging, which also adds more units at <30%.
@RoyalOakAcorn The staff report linked in that article refers to income-targeted units at 30, 50, and 80% AMI.
Sounds to me like they're really trying to keep affordable housing out of their neighborhood. Parking is just an excuse to avoid saying the quiet part out loud. Textbook NIMBYism.
@EngineerDustin@PlanningShit No idea what the context is, but many state housing authorities require or incentivize "private" patios/balconies for LIHTC units. I've seen a lot of these ugly and half-assed solutions in that space, unfortunately.
@primetime0552@freep Factoring in Uber/Lyft, total peak parking demand will be around 60k spaces as a conservative estimate. That's a high-demand weekend, but there's plenty of capacity to support it.
@primetime0552@freep I used to do this for a living. Peak attendance of 100k at an average of 1.5 humans per car is still less than 67k parking spaces. In reality, that will be lower because these events are not all taking place concurrently and there will be significant overlap in attendance.
@DE_Gifford@mattgaynor That's also only counting off-street parking spaces. There are over 2,000 metered on-street parking spaces in downtown and midtown, and thousands more spaces of unmetered street parking.
