Beyond proud to share my thesis work, out today in @CellCellPress! My deepest gratitude to my amazing co-authors, those who come before me whose beautiful work this is built upon, and my extraordinary advisor, Camilla Forsberg. @Forsberg_Lab https://t.co/ef93I6L9Qe
Deeply honored to be included in #FacesofCell representing Filipinos, LGBTQ+, and underrepresented individuals for whom I may have the privilege of laying a trace of liberty. You empower me to use scientific research to foster empathy - you belong.
We are pleased to bring you the @CellCellPress paper of #FacesOfCell Dr. Donna Poscablo (@DPoscablo), “An age-progressive platelet differentiation path from hematopoietic stem cells causes exacerbated thrombosis”. https://t.co/NUjyNbbpH6
In the latest issue! An age-progressive platelet differentiation path from hematopoietic stem cells causes exacerbated thrombosis https://t.co/zS4OK7Xi4m
Dr. @DPoscablo from the @Forsberg_Lab led this study showing that aging leads to two parallel platelet specification paths from #HSCs and the shortcut platelet pathway is perpetuated by highly expansive #megakaryocyte progenitors.

Platelet Pathway More Traveled with Age, Leads to Excessive Clotting
Researchers say findings may "profoundly impact the millions of elderly people at risk of experiencing adverse thrombotic events." Learn more: https://t.co/uF0Ex0Xq8V
Published in @CellCellPress, #BaskinEngineering Prof. Camilla Forsberg & team identified a new group of blood platelet stem cells that emerge as we age - offering potential new targets for medication to treat blood clotting-related diseases: https://t.co/lNGWyi5WIp @Forsberg_Lab
Platelets are normally produced from HSCs via progressively lineage-restricted, intermediate progenitors including MkPs. We find an aging-induced and direct pathway from HSCs into platelets - by way of functionally enhanced MkPs- that contributes to exacerbated clot formation!

#ISTH2023 begins one month from today! We're ready to reunited the world's leading experts in thrombosis and hemostasis in Montréal. Will you be there? You can register at https://t.co/Zi2RjJYkTE.
Introducing the newly minted Dr. Donna Poscablo! Standing room only at her Ph.D. defense, which was not only exciting and impactful, but deeply personal and heartfelt. We are so incredibly proud of all you have achieved as a scientist and leader @DPoscablo!
The much anticipated in-person recruitment for the PBSE Grad Program (since 2020) has finally come.. and the lab takes first prize poster…again! Flashback to 2019! Go team! 🎉 Many thanks to the recruits- we love being your number one! ☝🏾
We are hiring not 1 but 2 new faculty in the areas of immunology and stem cell biology. Please retweet and spread the word!! Reach out to me if there are any questions https://t.co/rNpxnploMr
The lab is all here at #ISEH2022 and they are ready to share their incredible work tonight! Check out their posters tonight @ISEHSociety! @ateshw 3230; @DPoscablo 3165; @ale_ryb 3168; Stephanie 3268; @brycemanso 3128
