With due respect to @MarathaEpoch ‘s efforts to popularise proud Maratha history it is improper to call Rajputs ‘daughter sellers’. By condemning Rajputs & ignoring their great sacrifices against foreign invaders we are falling into the trap of Pan-Islamists who want keep Hindus divided & want our warrior castes to fight against each other.
Similarly, Rajput social media handles condemning Marathas on various counts are also doing great harm to national unity. No patriotic Indian can deny that the national movement started by Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj might have had some deficiencies here & there but it played key role in the dissolution of Mughal rule in India & that modern Bharat owes much to this movement.
What is true history about Rajput-Mughal marriage ? :
Rajputs fought Muslim invaders for 300 years of Sultanate period. This period is replete with sacrifices of innumerable Rajput rulers, generals & soldiers against fanatic Muslims - from Shekhawati to Mewar & from Jaisalmer to Malwa besides Bundelkhand & many parts of UP & Bihar, not to mention the sacrifices of Rajput rulers of Gujarat.
But then came Mughal Emperor Akbar who after an initial bout of Islamic fanaticism, transformed himself & came with the policy of ‘ Suleh-Kul ‘ ( Peace between religions/ communities) by withdrawing Jizya tax, putting a stop to temple destruction & abduction of Hindu women. This led to Rajput marriages alliances with Mughals. These alliances still can’t be justified on the part of the Rajputs, but one must note that these were limited to some Rajput kings’ families & did not common Rajput or even Rajput Jagirdars.
So Rajput-Mughal marriage alliances were restricted to a minuscule part of Rajput community & some like Sisodias of Mewar didn’t have any such alliance. Plus, there are examples of many Rajput rulers/ clans like the Devda Chauhans & Hada Chauhans who strongly resisted such alliance offers from the Mughals.
Significantly, on the Maratha Kshatriya side also there are some examples of Maratha Chieftains giving their daughters in marriage to Muslim Sultans in Deccan, the most notable being Punji Khanam , the daughter of Maratha chieftain Mukundrao Kadam & mother of Bijapur Sultan Ismail Adilshah (1498-1534) . This is mentioned in credible books including one by social reformer & historian Justice Mahadev Govind Ranade.
How to interpret history :
Interpretation of history based on truthfulness & in Nation-First spirit is very important, if Bharat wants to become a truly great nation.
For example, Rajputs , Marathas & Sikhs have received great appreciation for their deeds of valour during medieval period but not the valorous warrior castes/ Kshatriyas/Rajputs of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh & J&K ( Dogras). The reason perhaps could be that that they did not get a Col James Tod or Capt James Grant Duff to cover their history.
I still remember my Kaka, an army colonel tell me : ‘ We Marathas, Rajputs & Sikhs take pride in our great military deeds of the past. But i found some of the beat soldiers come from the warrior tribes of North Himalayan ranges.”
When he said that i was instantly reminded of the exploit of Dogra Rajput general Zorawar Singh Kahluria ( Chandel) who conquered Baltistan/Ladakh & went right till Tibet , sacrificing his life while fighting against Tibetan forces & immortalising himself.
@OsintTV I saw this around 8PM near Kota Rajasthan. The approx movement was SE to NW and then it disappeared. I thought it was a comet. Even opened sky map to confirm but saw nothing and then it disappeared.
@gaurravbhrdwj You are in the vicinity of where the proposed PSP is coming up.
The site is near Shahabad, Baran, Raj.
I would be happy to welcome you here and make you visit this site.
Another fragmentation of an established CR that is part of the cheetah corridor and the core of a proposed TR
You are completely spot on here. But this is true at general level of development and associated afforestation and wildlife protection.
But many a times actual environmental issues vanish behind this general prosperity.
Like what's currently happening in Shahabad Forests. Cutting down lakhs of old forest trees to be compensated through afforestation 712 km away in Jaisalmer. There is no defence of this.
I never thought I would be experiencing this in my life but I might have to fight (lawfully) against this 'development' and the 'authorities' supporting it, to save the most biodiverse parts of the aird and dry state of Rajasthan.
Ofcourse there is an international effort to undermine the efforts of Indians to rightfully exploit their own resources in their own country through means like 'green' sanctions and 'green' shaming. Through India,'s own laws and regulations and people disillusioned through the propaganda.
But not all happening around in the country is good and right. Not every leader and corporate working in India are nationalist. Sometimes, if not Int'l propoganda, little personal greed also motivate people to do what is not right for the country. And if it's not, how do you filter it out from the propaganda and bs. I think intellectuals and leaders in our country should think about this too.
What I am experiencing in the Jungles of Shahabad Conservation Reserve is an outright violation of fundamental rights and misuse of loopholes in the EC process. I would have digested all this but when I found the company whose project is going to destroy this forest is not even Indian in its truest form - as the holding company is Mauritius based and the shareholders are sovereign funds from Singapore (read China), Abu Dhabi (read US) and smaller portions from Japan.
The forest which is part of the most ambitious wildlife conservation project of the world - Project Cheetah - is being destroyed by an Int'l private limited company based on a Pumped Storage Project that will effectively be a net carbon emitter and will on top of that destroy the very forest that plays a crucial part in the development of landscape corridor of the cheetahs and the tigers and the lions (if that part follows through) and many other schedule 1 species between Rajasthan and MP, since it's just 30km from the Kuno National Park.
This is not me being disillusioned through GLISCO or some other DS influence, it's the local resident of a remote area in the jungles Rajasthan and MP raising voice against what is outrageous and wrong on many levels.
Just a local trying to save his locale.
But I fear either this issue will not be big enough for the environmental torch bearers to run for it or the nationalist voices will dampen the sounds of the trees felling in the Shahabad Forest in the name of development and the motherland.
And in both the cases something valuable be lost not just for the locals but also for the rest of the country men.

Here I am attaching a link to the part 1 of a 4 part series that I have written about this issue. I hope you do get time to read the whole series and realise this time, this case, this forest, this protest is not some DS conspiracy and sometimes one has to raise voice against the wrongs even if they are being committed by your own in the name of something good.

India's cheetah corridor. A notified Conservation Reserve. 22 Schedule-I wildlife species. 1.2 lakh trees. ₹9,721 crores of private capital.
The Rajasthan High Court took suo motu cognisance. Primary wildlife surveys missed every protected species — in a forest where leopards, wolves, and sloth bears are residents.
I am a lawyer from Rajasthan and this forest borders my family's land. I spent months reading every primary government document. Here is what I found. 🧵

“What the people of Shahabad demand is not the absence of development but the presence of lawful, just, and ecologically responsible development, pursued through due process and with the informed consent…” Do read this lovely piece and support the cause.
@orijeet@ForestRajasthan Such a sight!!
But something important and devastating is happening around the project cheetah.
Do read this article written by me to find more.

@Fintech03@MockingbirdShot I had a convo with a DFO in Rajasthan about the same issue. It's a 3 to 4 year long process. Each tree needs mechanical uprooting every year for 3 to 4 years. While the natives grow and take over. It's a very stubborn plant. Even if the stump is removed with jcb it can grow back.
@vajrayudha11@56Dbhau ...but have everything to do with who studied there ie the young Indian Princes. They came with their own customs, prayers and cultural traditions, representing different parts of North India and beyond. Remaining obedient to British was more of a political policy of each kingdom
@vajrayudha11@56Dbhau ...many important traditions which are rarely seen in any other boarding schools of India. Mandatory temple days, prayers from Upanishads, cultural traditions like safa tying, and many other aspects, rules and traditions which had nothing to do with before or after '47...
@theskindoctor13 I have been hearing this type of news of fake officers from admin and police and even from the military since I can remember. One thing is definite that all these imposters always faked it to do all the wrong things and enjoy benefits. None ever actually did something good.
@theskindoctor13 Jis desh mein train ke toilets ka steel ka mug jo ki shauch ke dhone ke liye rakha hai uss ko bhi steel ki chain se bandna pade, toh abhi ees desh ko saamajik taur pe bhot dhoor jaana hai.

1/ Did India’s Indus-Sarasvati region indirectly lead to the creation of Pharaonic Egypt?
The Indus-Sarasvati’s economic power was crucial to Sumeria. Uruk, one of its powerful city-states, invaded Egypt starting Pharaonic Egypt, as celebrated on the Narmer Palette.
