@RafHM Your suggestion that the system should be gamed in order to thwart the consistent wishes of the left-wing majority is more than a bit anti-democratic, is it not?
@Nickyy0207 Saint Helens shouldn’t really count as Merseyside anyway, but the ones in Bootle who voted for a Holocaust denier need to have a very strong word with themselves.
@WestminsterWAG Shrove Tuesday is not a Christian festival, it’s a secular occasion preceding the actual religious event, with no special significance beyond using up your eggs, flour and sugar. Nor is Lent a season of celebration in the way Ramadan is.

@politicsastar@BBCNewsnight The wording on social inequality is in the Act, literally section 1, but was never enacted. If that’s their only issue, they can simply pass regulations to bring it into force, and no reason (on Yusuf’s logic) to scrap the rest.
@Chris_Davies Except today is not the start of Lent, Ash Wednesday tomorrow is. You don’t seem very aware of the basics of the religion you think politicians should treat as a national foundation.
@SlaYtroN08@JamesPearceLFC How about getting some perspective and human decency about media and establishment mistreatment of deaths, compared to marginal penalty decisions?
@KieraDiss@Keir_Starmer Seems like the danger to the safe neighbourhood is the person swearing at and manhandling strangers just because he doesn’t like the look of them.
@RupertLowe10 Until the 1970s there were elected representatives in Liverpool for the Protestant Party. There’s no Muslim party, so whoever you think they are voting en masse for, it’s less sectarian than that.
