@Konzepts@1GarethWynJones Exactly. No good saying China emits so much more CO2 etc than us. Firstly, they make most of the world's stuff - if they didn't, we'd only have to make it somewhere else.
Secondly, it's a global problem not just one country.
And yes China should still reduce its emissions too!
@nayf_cars@A1GOY Depends on a few things of course (style, budget, features) but our best sellers are the Easee One and Ohme Home Pro/ePod.
Easy to compare them all side by side here:

@Carpervert@osprey_ian Same, I'm only around the corner. I'm all for looking at any development on its merits, but the reasons given for declining this were laughable.

@ainekoskitten@EpicWinningMaz Inclined to agree. I'm not up on all the details to be fair, but doesn't seem right that someone with plenty of money can afford to drive in & pollute whereas a normal hard working family are penalised. Schemes like this need to be combined with cheap viable public transport.
@brianrobertmuir@evmanuk@OctopusEnergy@myenergiuk Do you mean your EV battery or home storage? Intelligent will keep all the charging within the 6 hour off peak wherever possible. But the clever bit is if Octopus decides to charge outside the off peak (for various reasons) it will honour the off peak price.
@Carpervert@JensenIntl@chieftainRR@LateBrakeShow Nothing to apologise for, Jonny. Some viewers just have too much time on their hands to make hurtful comments, especially when it's obvious guests aren't media pros but still discuss their passion. Being on camera can be daunting; suspect those complaining have never done it.
@KateFantom I think the key is MORE sustainable as you point out. It would be better still if governments/all of us walked or took public transport. But if the car remains king for the foreseeable, then EV is the lesser of two evils. That's how I see it anyway.
@MightyBronan@ShivajiShivaLaw@SunnydaleDreams @icouldntcarless @jonburkeUK @Sustrans Yep, can't disagree with that. Nobody should be forced down any mode of transport. Give people better options than cars & they'll go for it. Currently, drivers are penalised for not choosing the worse alternatives. Although many people do drive when they could easily walk too!
@MightyBronan@ShivajiShivaLaw@SunnydaleDreams @icouldntcarless @jonburkeUK @Sustrans Or extrapolate further - people should not be isolated from health, leisure, shops, & work unless they buy a car. We are a society beholden to cars. Choice is important, you're right, but the car has been given too much priority over actual living space for humans I feel.
