One of my college mentors was a devoted father of five young children. He later became a TACP officer and served with great distinction, but tragically lost his life in Afghanistan in 2012. In 2015, Congress repealed country of origin labeling requirements for beef & pork. I voted to keep the labels, but most of Congress voted to remove labels because of a WTO ruling in favor of Canada & Mexico. If we’re in a trade dispute now, I say put the labels back on our food.

A Wisconsin Law used to require restaurants serve cheese with every meal . The Law was around from June 1935 to March 1937 and required all restaurants to serve cheese and butter with meals. We used to be a proper country with real laws.
