I was an asshole yesterday, but some “@TexasBaseball fans” deserved it.
Support the team. Always.
Stop talking shit about the coach.
We’re halfway through the season, lotta talent and pride on this team, and a lot of baseball left.
They play FOR Texas, not AT Texas. 🤘🏼
Joseph Ossai sobbing on the bench ~ only 22 years old and played an incredible game. Makes one tough mistake and social media hammers him within 20 seconds. And we wonder why mental health is such an issue and so prevalent these days.
Great game KID, go do big things.
So fun to visit with @UTexasBBA honors Finance alum Ben Jacobs and meet his @UTexasMcCombs niece Abi Norwood! Ben’s support is helping future generations change the world too! #Hookem#WhatStartsHere
So happy to meet alumna @UTexasBBA Neha Parikh - CEO @waze - as the daughter of a cartographer I am such a fan girl of Waze. Her niece is freshman @UTCompSci!
Incredible! @UTexasMcCombs professor Sheridan Titman is being honored w/ one of the world’s top biz awards, an honor he now shares w/ two Nobel Prize winning economists. His academic research made a tremendous impact on Wall Street investment strategies: https://t.co/BDzRubTRti
The culture of any organization is shaped by the worst behavior the leader/coach is willing to tolerate.
When toxic employees/players’ negative behaviors are allowed, it can have detrimental effect on the entire culture.
Leaders/Coaches- what you fail to correct, you applaud!
“Today, tomorrow, & the next day-get better. That’s your mission
The teammates you play with - make them better. That’s your impact
The program you play for-leave it better. That’s your legacy” -The Coaches’ Journal
What's your mission? What's your impact? What's your legacy?
COACHES: You might have bad parents, bad players, or bad administrators but it is still your responsibility to continually improve as a coach, be a positive leader, and find ways to make everyone in your program better. Set the standard. Be the standard. Model the standard!
Every day things get more depressing. My heart goes out to anyone who is impacted by gun violence. You’d think people would admit there’s a huge problem…yet it keeps happening.
(Yes I’m closing the replies because I’m not giving idiots a chance to debate a tragedy on twitter)
