➡️ Timely diagnosis is critical to avoid limb loss.
➡️ Most common causes: crush, fractures (e.g. tibia), ischemia/vascular injury, prolonged immobilization
➡️ On exam: pain “out of proportion” to apparent injury, pain w/ passive stretch, tense compartments.
➡️ While not required for diagnosis, compartment pressure >30 mmHg or delta (DBP - compartment) of <30 mmHg are diagnostic.
