@hot_rails@Rob_McKay Solution - pragmatic. Free up capacity. Without gold plating a CBD loop until it’s needed. Especially whole areas like Aldinga, Two Wells, Roseworthy, Mt Barker etc are all crying out for services.
@hot_rails@Rob_McKay I agree we need to resolve the station choke point, but Perth with double our population still did it with the William St tunnel, less than 1km, to connect two main lines, not dissimilar to Seaford and Gawler.

Melbourne built the suburban loop with pop ~3 mil. We really just need a single connection between Seaford & Gawler (and beyond) with a stop at Vic Square to free up capacity. Constructed so they can extend later.
