@BigpictureBTC Bitcoin has been around 20 years, instos have always had the size and capability to Hoover up bitcoin in its entirety. Do you think if they saw any real future value or utility in it they wouldn’t have done that already? You think they’re just on the verge of some huge revelation
@TheKouk Are you saying the removal of negative gearing on existing properties, changes to CGT discount, introduction of AML measures, cost of living pressures and to use your term ‘oppressive’ interest rate levels are all going to impact the market by about 1% each? Incredible call that!
@TheKouk Know what else creates a wealth effect? Not being saddled with a mortgage at ludicrous multiples of income. shame nobody thought of that while you were all cheerleading the property bubble on the way up!
@Petitopinionsjm@plebcapital Your series of tweets on this will definitely find their way onto the PowerPoint of a psych professor somewhere attempting to explain the Dunning Kruger effect to his students 😂
@solo_dio_ Well they have to because the Kouk has already gone full circle and is calling for serious rate cuts despite inflation still having a 4 handle…
@LouiChristopher The way this country regulates the finance sector etc, it’s incredible they’re allowed to publish such a deliberately misleading set of numbers. Consumer protections conveniently go out the window when it comes to real estate?
@Michael94858047@TheRedPiranha@GraingerRule1 Are you saying this policy stimulates investor demand for new housing stock? While crushing demand for existing properties, lowering prices and making them more attractive to first home buyers? What were they thinking?!
@trent_saunders_@bigtousousous@SpachusAus As an investor would you pay as much for a new build knowing that come time to sell, there will be little investor demand as it won’t be eligible for negative gearing? Puts a lot more pressure on that negative carry? You think all these changes add up to about 1-3% decline? 🤔
@markbouris Are investors going to pay a premium for new property knowing there’ll be less demand for it come time to sell as it won’t be eligible for negative gearing for any prospective buyer? Carrying a loss making asset without the windfall at the end doesn’t seem so attractive?
