Ireland is pursuing Israel sanctions at EU level and has pursued against Israel as both are military occupying their neighbours contrary to international law, ICJ ruling etc. And breaking Geneva conventions. Ireland already proscribes Hamas terror.

@JEyal_RUSI A local independent councillor doesn't represent any governing party or indeed opposition in Irish parliament. He has no bearing on whether plant supplies Russia military and can end it.

Irish and EU have an inquiry into the plant. Plenty EU state paying Russian rubles for gas.

There is an inquiry into the plant and where the aluminium goes. Similar measures being made against Israeli goods (and services maybe).

That would be a question for Irish cabinet or EU who are conducting an inquiry. I don't know the guys politics, could be quite pro Russia.

The Palestinians will have to give up some aspirations, Israel will have to give up aspirations. There may be land swaps ie some Israel settlements stay, some go. Thorny issues, that will take years and decades to solve. So start now.

Israel will only get Abraham accords signed with majority of ME countries when they agree in principle to a Palestinian homeland, stop the annexations and a real ceasefire. They will also have to talk to Hamas political leadership who are only ones who can rein in armed side.

But I don't think knee jerk reaction is what is called for. Evidence based decisions with EU partnership to put pressure on Putin. Same pressure..

The academy rules mean there is more representation. Black Asian, mixed race producers, grips, runners, cinematographers etc often overlooked in past, didn't get a chance + more about who you know than ability. There were years too with little women being nominated. Times change

Whether Nolan did it to meet some quota is neither here nor there. He did a historical film in Dunkirk/Oppenheimer and didn't change historic figures nationalities - won an Oscar.

Putting aside politics, they had careers and big followings but most 80 year old are retired, some medically retired. President should be like an airline pilot, sober, alert responsible

@ScienceDJX I don't see other world leaders act like this, maybe Rubio truly believes Trump is a great person but a lot of people love their grandparents but wouldn't want them behind wheel of a truck for 10 hours a day or in control of an aircraft at 80 years old. He's not fit.
