@CRUDEOIL231 Controlled slowdown to deflate excess capacities across its economy, deflate the property bubble and clean up local governments debt, or Japan-styled balance sheet slowdown is the question. Same trend across steel, cement, leading indicators etc, so not oil specific
@reportingLibya Seriously? Its like this every day. Its called Fujairah - one of the main bunker and resupply hubs in addition to being a considerable load port
@Joe220220 @typesfast Impossible. First, the ship owner have already prepaid a minimum of 20%. Second, it will take the U.S. a minimum of a decade to bring up meaningful yard capacity, and to train enough workers. That said, high labour cost would make the newbuulding price 3-4x higher than China
@houstonship@typesfast There are so far few LNG ships built in China as they just started building that kind of sophisticated tonnage. Current fleet is mostly built in South Korea
@anasalhajji Tankers carrying Russian oil have been targeted several times. Higher explosion/ total destruction risk for a LNG tanker + the LNG tanker is worth a lot more than the Aframax tankers typically carrying Russian. Cargo value about the same for the two vessel types
@Big_Orrin I could disagree using two arguments. Happy to hear your thoughts on both. 1. Saudi market share is again squeezed. Lower now than in 2014/15 and equal to 2020. Boost prices then? 2. Although MBS probably like Trump better, Biden is simpler to twin around the finger?
