@andreabeale3@beh353 This class has definitely helped with learning things we don’t usually learn about. The information we gained will help us in the future with our patients @beh353#beh353
This class has taught me so much and opened my eyes in things I never knew. The main thing I will take with me is checking labels of foods and vitamins and double checking the ingredient it contains! I never cared to check and that’s all I do now @beh353#beh353
Sometimes having fun foods with cool shapes encourages people to eat! As silly as that might sound, we usually want things that look nice, unique, and good food isn’t an exception @beh353#beh353
@then_katherine@beh353 This is very true I never thought of that. Working with children I have realized we often rush children to finish eating when in reality it shouldn’t be something that gets rushed @beh353#beh353
@EmmaDArpinoRD thank you for taking your time to join our lecture this week! One thing that will stay with me is when you said “It’s our relationship with food that makes it feel addictive.” Your words made perfect sense and are very helpful @beh353#beh353
This was very interesting to me due to working with children and seeing how picky young children are becoming. This is also very informative and this is a way to help children maintain a healthy weight and staying healthy. Leading by example @beh353#beh353
Preschoolers tend to copy what parents or caregivers do at the table. If you eat your veggies, they’ll eat their veggies and its good for both of you! More tips here https://t.co/S0jJnmW2KL

@SamMontalto2 @beh353 This is a such a good article! It will get kids attention and it even makes it fun to read for parents. Very informative @beh353#beh353
I would show parents this article because it is easy to read and it shows sugar substitutes and is very informative. It can teach both the parent and the child @beh353#beh353 https://t.co/WZjAWkmxxx

@angnavo24@beh353 Being understanding and listening to the patients concerns will go a long way and help with motivating them to follow the balanced nutritious diet. Great post! @beh353#beh353
From experience with struggling with healthy eating and maintaining my weight, I can relate with the article on how these patients felt. Being in their shoes I’d be able to help patients build their confidence and give them a safe place to express their concerns @beh353#beh353
Since poverty plays such a big role in obesity, schools having good, nutritious meals for these children could help give kids the nutritious meals they need that they might not get at home. It has to start somewhere @beh353#beh353

As I got older, I learned more about obesity and after this week it taught me more. Just because someone is fat it doesn’t mean they’re unhealthy & just because someone is skinny it doesn’t mean they’re healthy. Poverty is also a big issue that leads to obesity @beh353#beh353
I chose this article because it explains more about diabetes and ways to prevent it. It also mentions how to manage your diabetes if you happen to have it. @beh353#beh353

@Bisma0519@beh353 This has been my biggest issue too. When I want to eat Healthier everyone around me wants to go out or order take out and it’s so hard to stick to healthy eating when everyone around you isn’t @beh353#beh353
Although I could relate with almost all of the barriers, the “Lack of time to plan, shop, prepare and cook healthy foods” is the one I relate to a lot. Working fulltime and in school it’s hard to find energy to cook something healthy @beh353#beh353
We usually take vitamins for certain things but these are foods we can add to our diet that’ll help with getting all the nutrients and vitamins we need from foods @beh353#beh353

@achen4206@beh353 I also take calcium and after reading your label and comparing it to mine it’s funny how we can be taking the same thing but have completely different ingredient and percentages. That’s why it’s important to look at the labels and be sure it’s good for you @beh353#beh353
