It's time to learn Friday:
1) Your body can ABSORB lots of protein! (20-30g is NOT a limit)
2) Your body only has a LIMITED capacity to STORE/USE protein
3) The major use of protein is NOT for muscle (at best it's about 25%)
4) ALL protein-containing tissues turnover protein*

No diet will replace the benefits of exercise.
Exercise and diet are not mutually exclusive.
Don’t blame the potato for what the chips did to you.
You can’t outdiet frailty.
Protein won’t harm the bones or kidneys.

"Trying not to eat meat" to get healthy is like saying "Trying not to read books" to get smarter. Sure, you can accomplish the latter without the former, but what an ineffectual plan.
Beyond about 1.6 g protein/kd/d it doesn't matter what protein you eat to support muscle mass gains https://t.co/Rd17RadTIN and protein is a 'thin slice' of benefit. Priority #1 (by a large margin) get to the gym. Supplements and protein a distant second!
@mackinprof Generic nutrition advice is shit. But there CAN be truth within almost all the pieces of "advice" in the video you shared, depending on the person/context. The problem isn't the advice itself, it's searching for it on social media to being with 😉 #seekanexpert
