@arcadeuk @Artemisfornow They have battery management systems on board which mean you can safely use the whole 100% capacity. Fast charging is what hurts the battery. Slow charging overnight causes on average 1% battery degradation per year.

@arcadeuk @Artemisfornow This is a serious echo chamber of nonsense 😂 Not sure what’s going on with Volvo here but long term studies on EV battery tech now shows them to be very much more reliable and low cost to run and maintain. They rarely fail and if they do, they are warranted for 8 years.

@_shawtyriri I was made redundant end of November. I used a site called Teal. It has AI to help build a resume and write a cover letter for you bespoke to the job applied for. You can track applications and closing dates. I got a job offer after only 15 applications and 2 interviews!

@AlistairCFord 2) no public transport would be viable for the commute 2-3 times a week round triangle with only work the rest of the time. Modern lives are based around bigger distances outside of the cities. I bet I’m not alone with this!

@AlistairCFord 1) Sorry but I get so fed up with attitudes like this. Try putting yourself in other peoples shoes for once. I live in a small village with my partner (where her and my family live). I work 25 miles away in one direction and my 10 yo daughter live 20 miles in the other….

@modernheroestv @Justjsl1 I want to buy in to the electric car ownership however the finance costs are crazy on realistic mileage. You’re on 8k miles a year but further up told someone you do 110 miles each way commute. Doesn’t quite fit. I commute 25 miles each way and do close to 18k miles a year.
