Webinars are good ways to stay connected within your field and to increase your knowledge when there are no conferences available. This webinar is useful because it is hard sometimes planning for a substitute who is not used to teaching PE.
The ASAHPERD Fall Conference is approaching to better assist all PE teachers in order for them to increase student engagement and success in their classrooms. What a wonderful professional development opportunity.
@kwatson1079 It depends on the activities and strategies we learn. A lot of games/activities I have seen in the past have been awesome, but are difficult to work with 65-70 students by yourself. I do modify a lot of what I learned and implement in the classroom.
7 Habits is incorporated into our school for students and it is a great way to instill leadership qualities in all students while also holding them accountable and giving them responsibilities.
Every year more and more is asked of us, but yet our pay isn't increasing with the workload. There would be more people pursuing the education field if changes were made.
"If you talk to any teacher, they'll probably tell you their workload is growing and their pay isn't."
Sending our #RedForEd strength and support to our @ISTAmembers family in Indianapolis!

I couldn't agree more! Technology is a phenomenal resource to impact student learning, but should be used in moderation. Children today do not need to rely heavily on technology, but instead incorporate it into their learning.
Technology in PE class is a great way to engage student learning while also motivating the students to perform at their highest potential. Technology can be used as visual aides to help students see what they are trying to do. #LearnByDoing#PhysEd
