Chris Dart just celebrated his one year anniversary with the Dallas Eviction Advocacy Center. But before that, on Monday of this week, he handled his 1,000th eviction case for the year. That’s right. One attorney. 1,000 cases. One year.
UPDATE: Court Clerk INDICTED for falsifying documents in our client’s case. After getting no notice of her eviction hearing, it was discovered the notices in the court file were fabricated after the fact to cover up the court’s error. Hopefully we find justice @DallasEAC

“[T]here are a number of judges that are also real estate brokers or landlords themselves. Obviously, they’re not allowed to hear their own cases, but in terms of how they generally interpret the law, that has an impact,” said Jessica Vittorio, @DallasEAC.https://t.co/CigQqj3JNx
House Bill 2035, which would prohibit local eviction protections, is scheduled for a hearing on Monday, 4/3. If you haven't yet contacted your legislators to oppose this bill, please do it now! You can send a message at this link https://t.co/JJa3CsE9js TY@NTFHC for this tool.
