I do not think he is lying about calvinism. he has been consistent with his critique. perhaps try engaging him from a different angle. secondly, it would depend on what is entailed in LFW. usually Calvinist use that with some pressupositions that are not necesssarily shared by Nate or other Provisionist.

yes i affirm the synod of jerusalem and the confession of dositheus. its not binding to anyone outside of the church, which is why i do not cite it. the chasm between us is a matter of paradigms not a lack of evidence. which is usually the reason why we have to argue the entirety of the worldview by doing an analysis of the worldview in contention. fact is logically, since all things flow from the decree of God and sin of man is accounted for from the decree of God, then God is the author of sin. it's the logical entailment of the position and unavoidable if i may add. furthermore, the calvinist paradigm does not account for the biblical data on human anthropology, what it does is to reinvent a paradigm antithetical to the Jewish paradigm which Apostle Paul would be familiar with during his work.

no problem. i can understand your point. however, in order for the kind of exegesis to work, you'd have to demonstrate that Paul held that pressuposition when he wrote the text and when you look at the entirety of the Jewish paradigm, these categories are lacking. you can agree that Paul can disclose human inability which does not necessarily entail any calvinist pressupositions
