@timstillman_ I think there is a difference in that I don't think there is a discount with the Arsenal season ticket (although I haven't done all the maths). But Arsenal do lose tourist money from the club shop I guess).
@tomhfh I have seen Scottish people (or elsewhere in fact) float between accents. I.E It gets stronger in Scotland but much softer in England depending whose around them.
@timstillman_ They were originally forced to do it for the Tokyo Olympics because of COVID, and I think that showed them there is little downside to doing it locally. Cheaper, easier logistically, and little difference to the person watching on TV.
@HLTCO This is the role podcasts take, right? The problem with the likes of TalkSport is that they need to fill a lot of airtime, which incentivises this nonsense.
@residentadviser Surely someone else will come in, seeing their chance? Streeting is very unpopular with the membership. Starmer could actually win that, but a third compromise candidate would look much more appealing in those circumstances.
@tomhfh That's assuming you can take an anonymous post on Reddit as truth. It might be, but there are a lot of screenshots of reddit posts that go around on social media that are questionable.
@allyboy82 @Stillmanator A lot of leagues don't have this 2nd cup competition, so UEFA won't make an exception for England. So it is either the CL clubs (maybe Europa too?) drop out of the league cup or just one semi-final game.
@residentadviser Doing a graduate tax on people who've already paid off some or all of their loans will be incredibly unpopular; you would have to limit it to those yet to pay it.
