Today, let’s talk about the data analysis process. Day 2 of #25DaysofDatawithDesola
The truth is, there isn’t one single architecture uniformly followed by every data analysis expert. But, there are some shared fundamentals in every data analysis process. 🧵
DREAMS COME TRUE
I cried tears of joy today!
Several years ago, with no funding but a mind full of dreams, we "borrowed" a student organization's secretariat office in University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan, Nigeria...
Long story short, we "overstayed our welcome" and we had to leave because the keys were getting "lost" frequently whenever we asked for them after some weeks...
We "borrowed" about 5 more offices (we changed places before we "overstayed our welcome" again) till we had our first funding to rent our first office some years ago.
We launched and opened our new SRHIN HQ Office today!
The exquisite building is located less than 5 minutes from the Governor's office in Awolowo, Old Bodija, Ibadan, Oyo State.
The foundation of our building and institution will be excellence, empathy and equity
The pillars of our institution will be justice, collaboration and accountability
Asides from the millions of people our work has reached through our community and people-centered model to hundreds of publications and scholarships received by members.
From our impactful work being presented across all continents (except antartica) to producing Rhodes Scholarship finalists for 3 consecutive years
One of our people won the Rhodes Scholarship in 2024 - the first of many!
Thanks to all our volunteers, members, staff, partners and friends at SLUM AND RURAL HEALTH INITIATIVE NETWORK who have been the wind beneath our wings.
As we keep advancing health equity and social justice, I know that we are just getting started.
There is so more to come...
And I am confident that our dreams are possible, by God's grace.
These are the moments we will always remember at SRHIN.
I also believe that your dreams are possible!
