@sunjay19@anilsahnig42540@ItalyCricket@BCCI@CricketAus Incorrect. Cricket Italy fet support from ICC same as all associates inc the one ive played in for 18yrs.
Thats intended for grassroots, facilities etc though. Not for playerโฌ$. But they get the advantage of not having to have paid for development of 95% of their players๐คท
@GodstimeAtas Only reference to him ive ever heard in Europe or elsewhere is about him doing horrible things. Zero celebration. Dont know if its different in Belgium ?
@TUnlimitedd I think its important to get your mid tour holiday locations sorted first..minor stuff like bowling coach or whatever can be sorted later.
@EmEm1593@JLPerchard@ICC "Migrant players" are often born and raised and learnt their cricket in that country. What Italy are doing is not better than that.
Yes, more native players would be great but thats a seperate conversation.
@grantbn6 @MikeJ_A @tommorris32 Im well aware of club cricket in Netherlands and Ive played at all of their main grounds for an associate team. They have great facilities and a decent standard
Point is, this idea that exposure via using import players as a method to boost the game locally is pretty flimsy.
@grantbn6 @MikeJ_A @tommorris32 Netherlands has less homegrown players than ever. So all this exposure theyve had through years of major tournaments is apparently supposed to have increased local interest. Has it?
