After an accident necessitating repairs by your insurance company , it is important to get an estimate of repairs from a certified and professional garage.

The estimate of repairs will determine whether your car is repaired or not.

If the estimate repair cost is below the policy excess then you will not be indemnified / get repairs done by insurance.

Your insurance contract states that you are responsible for paying excess before any repairs can start on your car. the excess is a percentage of the insured value of your car.

In private vehicles it is 2.5% of the sum insured with a minimum of 15,000 and a maximum of 100,000
