Iridium reported second quarter total revenue of $225.2 million, a 4% increase versus the comparable period of 2025. Service revenue, which primarily represents recurring revenue from Iridium's growing subscriber base, grew 4% from the year-ago period and was 72% of total revenue for the second quarter of 2026.

"Iridium's global network and expanding service portfolio continues to be the gold standard for mission critical applications," said Matt Desch, CEO, Iridium.

"We believe vertically integrating with Rocket Lab's industry leading launch and satellite capabilities will allow the combined company to realize even greater ambitions to solve important connectivity challenges around the world."

Rocket Lab has now dropped around 55% from its high of $151.

The last time we saw a decline like this was last year, when it fell from ~$33 to ~$14.

It then rallied ~428% before the next big correction.

I don't expect the next rally to be another 5x, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a similarly sharp recovery in the near future.

This time the stock is down over 50% and now they’re doing a convert?

That’s not like them so I think it has to be related to something specific like 500m for JLEO and a launch agreement. If it’s not CLEARLY communicated to the public before open tomorrow after telling shareholders they wouldn’t do any more converts it would be a big miss and many including myself will feel very misled.

That’s a dangerous path for the company to take with a loyal group of shareholders.
