Great weekend of nature watching. Highlights- tree pipits and nightjars on the heath. And a peregrine which dived down today from the church spire towards me, only doing a u-turn and going back up to its perch when a few feet away!! ( No- I’d not been drinking!!)
Day 25 of #30DaysWild Hot in the local nature reserve for my stifling lunchtime “breather”. But rewarded by hearing bullfinches, which are not common round here. 😊
Day 23 of #30DaysWild What an evening on the heath! Stonechat, dartford warbler, very noisy deer ( video below- sound up!) But highlight was a barn owl flying low over the fields on the way home. ☺️
Yesterday, over 60,000 people marched to Parliament demanding immediate action to #RestoreNatureNow! 🌍
This massive turnout highlights the urgent need for stronger political action to tackle the nature and climate crisis.
